We are SO excited to be accepting applications for our 2021 Senior Model Street Team. (the deadline to apply is January 30th) We have had a team of senior models for the past 19 years. Our street team has been a huge part of connecting amazing seniors, like yourself, with Texas Tradition Photography.  And this year will be no different.

2021 is going to be incredible!!

What exactly is a Senior Model Street Team? Our street team is a select group of exceptional 2021 seniors who love to meet new people and be social. Our models love to be photographed and have great ideas that they bring to the team. Our street team keeps me up to date on what’s important to seniors. They are the face of my business.

When you say “meet new people and be social” what does that mean? Great question! Our team is made up of seniors from various high schools around the North Dallas area. After multiple shoots and parties, you will become friends with your fellow models. You will have a blast sharing stories and experiences both in person and on social media.

Is there a fee? Yes, the fee is $175. This is our normal senior session fee. However, as a model, you will receive at least four modeling opportunities and lots of extra goodies in addition to your senior portrait session. We treat our models with extra special sweetness. And did I mention that you will have the opportunity to earn this money (and more) back?

Can you elaborate on the “Extra goodies”? Yes, you will have the opportunity to win additional prizes, cash, gift cards, photo shoots and more throughout the year as additional incentives. Plus you will have Fresh digital images to share for your entire senior year.

 

This program is designed for 2021 high school seniors that want to be a part of the BEST senior experience in the North Dallas area.  Candidates do not have to look like a model or even want to be a model.  But you do have to have a great personality, be willing to try new things and brag about us every now and then.

Here is the scoop

Our Street Team is required to:

-attend a high school within the North Dallas Metroplex area and be graduating in 2021.

-attend ONE meet and greet meeting with a parent (three to choose from) Feb. 10,11,12 at 6:30pm

-attend a headshot shoot so I can introduce you as a member of our street team. (Sun. March 1st)

– attend ONE mini session/pizza party shoot (3 to choose from) March 9, 10,11 at 5:30pm

-use Texas Tradition Photography as your sole photographer during your senior year

-post on social media frequently about Texas Tradition Photography

-book your senior session with Texas Tradition Photography between June and October of 2020

Seasons Greetings!

I know it sounds a little extreme, but really, think about it… How can Senior portraits change your life? Aren’t they “JUST PICTURES” ?

First, a portrait session can boost a person’s confidence. Most teenagers haven’t had a professional portrait session dedicated to only them…. ever!  So, once all the attention is on THEM, (the planning, the shooting, the viewing and choosing session) they realize that they look and feel amazing. Your senior might even get a little pep in their step. So, how do you think your senior will feel every time they walk into the room where their senior portrait is hanging? Yep, they will feel very special because their parents love them enough to hang a portrait of them (and only them) on the wall.  And it’s not just any portrait of them, it’s a REALLY good portrait. So why do they have a sparkle in their eye? Because every time they see their senior portraits, they will remember the awesome experience they had with you while taking them.

Second, Your entire senior portrait session experience will be amazing for both you and your senior. We will be with you through the entire process, so you can relax and enjoy every step. First, we will choose a date and location for your portrait session. Then we will send you our “what to bring” guide so you and your senior can choose outfits together. On your portrait session day, we will laugh, tell stories, talk about the past, present and future. If you sit back and listen, you will learn a lot about what your teen is thinking and planning. It’s a special time to focus on your senior and celebrate what he/she has done, and what he/she is planning to do in the future.

Let’s capture your senior’s personality and record this last stage of their life before they hit adulthood. We want them to realize their true beauty so that they are confident in themselves before they go off into adulthood. Imagine the impact a single beautiful image can do for your senior’s self image?

Why am I telling you this right now… in the middle of the holidays and exams?

I’m glad you asked! If your senior is a member of the band, choir, theater, drill team, cheerleading, or plays Football, soccer, softball, baseball, volleyball, tennis… basically, all seniors who have super tight schedules, we have two full weeks off before school starts back up and you resume your hectic schedule. I have set aside all afternoon today to answer your questions and schedule senior portrait sessions.

Parents, this is your opportunity to freeze time and celebrate with your senior. After this year, your senior will be moving into adulthood. This is it… Freeze it, enjoy it, cherish it.

(I’m already crying because my daughter will be a senior next year and I’m going to be on the other side of this conversation)

As “they” say… out with the old, in with the new!

Who are “they” anyway? This time of year for senior photographers, we are saying goodbye to our 2018 Seniors and welcoming our 2019 seniors. It’s one of those bittersweet moments in my industry. I have watched my 2018 seniors grow from excited but nervous Juniors into these confident young men and women. I’m so proud of the young adults they are all becoming. As they head into their last week of high school,  many emotions begin to surface. One HUGE emotion, seniors often refer to as “senioritis” but parents would more affectionately call it “attitude”is often at the forefront.  Even the most well adjusted seniors experience senioritis to some degree.

A word to parents with graduating seniors… this last week of school might bring out the “attitude” in your precious teenager, but keep in mind, that you were once a senior. If you can look past the shortness of temper and the lack of motivation for school work and chores and anything else that would be classified as productive… you might notice an excited yet nervous child.  We expect these kids to be grown ups by the time they graduate from high school, but really they are thrown into a huge world of decision making and independence.  This world is scary.  And although they think they are ready, and they probably are, there is still fear of the unknown.  Be a little forgiving and compassionate during this transition time. After all, we DO want them to come home to visit.

A word to seniors about your parents… Although you are REALLY excited to be graduating, keep in mind that your parents may feel like time has passed them by.  Parents have SO much to teach you before you take off on your own, their heads are spinning wondering how you were in Kindergarten yesterday and are graduating today! I’m serious when I say, you WILL understand their point of view when you have kids of your own.  But until then, please  be patient with them.  They have been and are still your biggest supporter. They have been here for you since birth and they will continue to be here for you as you shove off into the big world ahead of you. I challenge you to take a few minutes of each day this week to thank your parents for something they have done for you and to tell them you love them. You might be surprised how just these two little/huge things will change your life.

I know I am JUST your senior photographer, but I’m SO proud of ALL of my 2018 seniors!!! Go out into this HUGE world and make a difference.  My generation is counting on you! And… please stay in touch.

Why is Summer the best time to schedule my 2018 Senior Portrait session?

Oh, there are SO many reasons to schedule your senior portrait session during the summer. For one, YOU ARE FINALLY A SENIOR!!!  You are super excited right now to begin your senior year.

Summer is also the time when you don’t have any stress and you have a great tan! Once school starts you will be bogged down with homework, SAT prep and testing, college visits, Practice for Band, cheer, football, drill team and other Fall sports. And starting at the end of October, it will be dark outside by 5:00. So, that cuts out 5 days out of the week that you won’t be available. And… I’m pretty sure you teenagers like to have dates and social time on the weekends.

So, Grab your calendars and either give us a call or fill out the form at the end of this post.  We will set a date for your portrait session and then you can start shopping for outfits!  See you soon.
